Guam is a small island that looks like a miniature Hawaii. It is located just south of Iwojima. Beautiful beaches, warm climate. A coin collector after a few days on this island starts looking for a coin shop. There is not a single coin shop on Guam. What a business opportunity.
Two main attractions on this island are Jeff's Pirates Cove Tavern and Yokoi's hideout. On January 25, 1972 Sergeant Shoichi of the Imperial Japanese Army was captured, ending 28 years of hiding in the jungles of Guam. A visit to his hideout is a must for a visitor to Guam.
The fact remains that Guam has no coin shops, no Carson City coins, no coins of any kind.
