CCCCOA Web Site Statistics - Visitors July 2010 was created by Carsonite
Some members have expressed an interest in statistics about how many visitors the CCCCOA Web site receives. In recent issues of Curry's Chronicle I have stated the average daily visitor count is about 30. This number represents a mixture of registered members with user names and guests (registered users who don't have user names and who don't post messages). Obviously this represents only a fraction of the club's total membership. Your guess why more members don't participate on the CCCCOA Web site is as good as mine.
Below is a chart showing the daily visitor count so far in July 2010 (as of July 18):

Thanks for answering the question posed by Garryn and others, Carsonite.
The question of why more members do not post their thoughts, questions, comments, facts, new coin purchases, or even thoughts about their ex girlfriend and her cool coin collection baffels me as well.
Certainly, its not due to the lack of material to write about. Even if one simply discussed the facts and materials already presented on the web site, one would have endless subject matter.
I would guess that a lot of people are very private and prefer to enjoy the C4OA at arms-length. But for me, a fairly new arrival to the world of Carson City minted coins, I derive a tremendous amount of personal value, comraderie and just plain fun by posting on this web site. I would dearly love to hear the thoughts and ideas of a much greater number of the hundreds of C4OA club members around the world.
As it is, I learn a great deal from members like Garryn, Sierra Biker, Coindrummer, Miss Maya, Randy, Litas, WAGS, Loosechange, SouthDakotan, Carson Sink, Mcfly, and the other members who have shared their knowledge and experiences on the web site. Second only to actual study of these coins, this interaction has provided a trememndous amount of insight and substance to my CC coin collecting experience, especially since I am frequently too busy with my business to attend many coin shows. Just think what it would be like if 50 more members added their views and experiences, regardless of whether they posted a single thought or ten paragraphs of technical facts.
At the end of the day, I just want to publically say THANK YOU, SINCERELY to Carsonite, Mrs. Carsonite and their staff for the huge educational value and the simple pleasure while reading about CC minted coins and related issues that the C4OA web site has provided this life member.

I agree with Belayoff. The information that is available from all contributors on this site is like a Carson City encyclopedia. I have learned so much and there is so much more to learn. Thanks to all who have taken time out of their busy schedules to post info and stories. Thanks to Mr and Mrs Carsonite for providing such a forum !!Go "CC's"

620 visits in an 18 day period. Thats quite a statistic and goes to show what a great idea this site has been.

The C4OA Web site has shown some signs of promise in its 14-plus months of existence. As explained in this thread and another one, Top Posters CCCCOA Discussion Board, we do track visitor-traffic and participant statistics on this site.
The discussion board is the most popular section on this Web site. The Coin of the Week project is by far the most popular section in the discussion board forum. We thank all participants in the Coin of the Week project for their diligent efforts every week in making this project the success it has become. Special thanks go to Belay Off for taking charge of the COTW project and keeping the other participants on schedule.
Other popular threads on the discussion board forum are the Mystery Coin of the Week and the Share Your Most Recent "CC" Acquisition postings. Thanks go to members like LITAS, who suggested threads like these, for their attempts to arouse more participation on the discussion board.
If you haven't yet checked out the Top Posters CCCCOA Discussion Board posting, please do so---it is in this same category, Club Matters, just one notch below this current thread. It contains some interesting information about participants on the discussion board that should give you a better perspective of this forum.
If you only visit this discussion board to read new messages, but have not yet posted a message of your own, please consider doing so, or at least leave some replies to other members' postings. This discussion board needs as many participants as possible---the more the merrier!
Thanks to all the regulars who keep this discussion board going.
