I believe that one of the funniest things I have seen in a Curry's Chronicle is the correction that was published on Page 26 of the Winter 2008 issue. It starts out "Member James Sneddon submitted the following correction regarding his trade dollar article in the Fall 2008 issue of Curry's Chronicle".

The article referred to is "The Different Obverse and Reverse Hubs of the 1873 to 1878 Carson City Trade Dollars. It is 14 pages long. It is easily one of the most intricate and brilliant articles I have ever seen on any coin topic. The correction goes on.. "On the top of Page 40 of the Fall 2008 Issue of Curry's Chronicle, in the first sentence which reads, 'and finally to a 2L/2M hub...' it should read 2L/2L, not 2L/2M."

Now for someone like me who knew absolutely nothing about Trade Dollars until I joined C4OA, and have read that article on numerous occasions, I looked at that correction and thought to myself, "Yes Jim, sure, it makes perfect sense to me now."

Please don't take that the wrong way Jim, it was funny !!

I like your sense of humor. I remember thinking when I read the article that if I didn't take notes I wouldn't be able to keep up with his thread....I agree it's a brilliant article and we are fortunate to count Mr Sneddon as a C4OA club member.
