My Carson City Morgan set consists of MS-64 and higher, however one coin is MS-63 and it is 1889-CC. Then again, Route 66 too has 1889-CC MS-63 DM Cameo and not MS-64.

PCGS lists 1889-CC $1 up to MS-64 only, at $75,000.

Does this means that 1889-CC $1 does not exist in MS-65 and higher grades?

Does anyone know what the NGC and ANACS population reports say? Also, I dont have a copy of The Mint on Carson Street handy. That should state what the high end population is. I have my Mint on Carson Street in front of me now. The population as stated in there is one PCGS MS-68. That MS68 has been the subject of one or more articles. Maybe someone recalls what the story is behind that coin. One PCGS MS65 and 4 NGC MS65. There is a footnote that some of the 4 may be resubmissions or crossover of the same coin.

Thats an amazing '89-CC John, even if it is "only" MS63. You and Belay Off should check your coins for an "E" clash.
