Hi Randy

I thoroughly enjoyed your Cowpost of the 1883-CC $20 liberty gold piece. I particularly enjoyed the part about Hank Monk the stage coach driver. Hank was the "Driver of the stars" of his day...I believe Hank had the privilege of driving president Grant while he was visiting the Carson area.
It's great to have you on-board as one of the "Cowboys" Randy

Drummer-
You may be right about Monk driving President Grant on his visit to the area. He would be the most likely choice. he was the best. Thanks for your support. It is my honor to be associated with such noble people as my fellow "Cowboys". Keep the faith. Looking forward to seeing you and others this August.

I have the Arcadia Publishing book, Cemeteries of Carson City and Carson Valley, and Hank Monk is featured in this book also.

Randy,

What a Fantastic article! Glad to hear "old Hank" was buried in Carson City where future generations can continue to visit his final stagecoach stop and honor a Man who helped shaped America!
I wonder if he had any "CC" coins buried along with him?

Anyone visiting this August wish to go pay him a visit with me?
What a great addition his photo made too!

Best
