The 1876-CC dime seems to have one of the largest number of varieties of the series. The Seated Dime Varieties web site
www.seateddimevarieties.com
lists more than 30 different varieties for this year. One of the interesting varieties I ran across a few years ago was a rusted die version. This particular coin that I have is in an NGC MS-61 slab. It's interesting to note how little detail exists, especially on the reverse, for this uncirculated coin.

I saw somewhere, maybe on the link you mentioned Mike, a similar coin. The caption said the texture on the reverse was due to die rust. Very, very nice coin.

Garryn,
I wanted to include and share 2 neat examples of the 76-cc Seated Dime DDO variety. I would like to find a way to get better close-up images of these coins as the doubling really is spectacular! If anyone is wondering who Ted Clark was, I had asked "NGC" this very same question. The answer I received was that Ted was a pioneer in variety attribution. I understand there are several of his "cc" seated coins floating around with his name designation on the holders. (In the first image, the line is a scratch on the holder, not the coin)
Best

I have one I took from my local bid board, but it's probably a G-4. The doubling is still easy to see. I like the toning on the second coin.
