Wow. First Rusty Goe gets a "cull" soft-pack GSA that's graded NGC MS-66, and now you post about a hard-case Uncirculated GSA that got body-bagged.
It's definitely something I've never seen before, but hey, that may be a good thing!

I just do not see what NGC is talking about? The coin in question looks like it is showing original frosty skin and has not been messed with at all.

I had one returned by NGC, the case was slightly cracked.
If that was the problem why did not they take the coin out and
have it graded anyway. They charged me for the non gradable coin.
The coin will be resubmitted without the GSA case.

Timed out on me before I finished the reply Anyway, John, you should try to get a refund for that. They should have offered you the option of cracking it out and grading it. But they wont waste their valuable time calling you.

Finally, I cracked open the returned GSA 1884-CC $1 and resubmitted it to NGC as "raw". It came back as MS-64. Had to pay another fee. During the first submission, they could have E-mailed me with a question "Should we open the case or not?" It would have saved me some money and "bad" feelings. It was a very small crack on the edge of the case.

They dont ask any questions. We have to play by their rules. Nice 84-CC by the way.
