The March issue of the NGC eNews highlights an example of the finest 1872-CC $20 that the NGC graders have seen. Beautiful coin.

I can't help but wonder if this belongs to somebody in our club...

1872-CC $20 is a beauty. PCGS does not have a price for it. Last entry is for MS-60 at $45,000. The Battle Born collection lists 1870-CC $20 graded by NGC AU-53. Maybe we will read about the 1872-CC $20 in the next issue of the Curry's Chronicle.

Very interesting bit of news.

I acquired my 1872-CC $20 back in 2006. Considering how little I knew at that time about how to acquire quality coins, I got lucky with a decent example.

The MS62 doesnt have the plethora of scuffs and hits most CC gold has. I like Belay's too. I like the color. That's more like CC color, matches Mike's $5 set.
