Drummer, does this coin exhibit on the obverse the green gold color as it appears in the picture? It is another fantastic coin in the DRUMMER Collection of Carson City Half Eagles!!!!!!!

Hi Loosechange
Forgive my slight delay as we have been on the road...Jo Ann and I are now in beautiful Oceanside California enjoying the beach.
This particular 1877-CC $5 from my collection was cleaned (obverse) long ago...the numismatic abuse is not bad enough to render the coin un-gradeable but it left a bit of a "gaudy" look to the obverse. The reverse is actually pretty much untouched and portrays the true color of the coin...too bad the obverse didn't look like the reverse...the coin would then be definitely in the AU grade range.
Still, this is a very tough date to locate nice specimens regardless of price. I'm very pleased to have this beauty in my collection and I appreciate your notice of it.
