This "Old Gal" definitely has some stories to tell. This coin (1878-CC $5) shows the most wear of any coin in my "CC" half eagle collection.
I know that you are aware of the scarcity of this date so to have a nice example regardless of the wear pattern, is a very good thing!
This date is a high grade rarity and until just a few years ago was unknown in the Uncirculated grades.
