Hi Randy

Wow...thank you kindly! I was afraid that perhaps I was getting a bit nostalgic in my article concerning my personal feelings about "CC" coins - Comstock, Carson mint history and lore. Well....it seems like I'm not alone! Now, I'm glad I mentioned it.
I'm with you Randy...I think living there would be the greatest!

No worries about nostalgia, I think personal thoughts give integrity to the articles, gives them an identity. Perhaps we'll be neighbors some day in V.C., at least we'll elbow up at the "Bucket of Blood" and have a few beers.

Drummer,

You continue to raise the bar not only for the other Coin of the Week writers, but also for yourself. This is a wonderful article full of variety, historical interest, interesting facts, up to date statistics as well as personal observations about your own coin.

Once again, I have to take my hat off to you!

Belay Off

PS: Sorry it took me so long to comment on this great piece. I've literally been living in a hospital room with my 90 yr old father 18+ hours a day for the last 8 days straight. In addition to his health issues, he has dementia and needs a family member (read me)to watch over him lest he simply "walkers" out of the hospital bed ripping out leads and IV lines in the process. He's doing much better now and is out of the hospital and staying at my home for the time being. I'll be able to participate with my C4OA friends once again, albeit at a lesser frequency for the next couple weeks.

Great article Mike, Virginia City is my wife's and my favorite destination.Have been out there a couple of times now and it is true that you can feel the past meet you in the future ( if that makes sense ). I felt as if I heard the picks and shovels working the mines. Totally awe inspiring.
